Epidotes from this northern Greek locality are not so well-known and often overlooked by collectors. Most believe the epidotes from the locality are black and opaque. I have something to reveal: NO, some of them are actually gemmy if one bothers to put some light behind them. This is a sharp, lustrous, doubly terminated crystal with a few sidecars and shows brown and green colors when backlit properly.
