Nothing like these have been found anywhere besides the Shijiangshan mine and not many cabinet sized pieces even made it out of China.
They were found around 2021 (and others earlier) and were labelled as a tobermorite group mineral, it wasn’t until 2023 that they were studied and a new mineral was born! Besides this the Imayoushiite crystals on this piece on pink datolite globules are amazing for a species that has only been found in Japan and at Shijiangshan.
Be aware there is some laumontite on this piece which will crumble a bit and makes it a little unstable in some areas, so it has to be handled with care. Nevertheless this is a very rare and unique mineral specimen!
Shinichengite is a new mineral (IMA No. 2023-026) named after Chinese famous mineralogist and professor: Shi Ni Cheng.
